Ethiopian cargo aircraft crashlands at kotoka airport, Ghana

An Ethiopian airline cargo aircraft travelling from Lome, Togo to Accra Ghana this morning skidded off the runway as it arrived the Kotoka Airport in Ghana. According to a press statement by Ghanaian aviation authorities, the three crew members survived the crash and are currently receiving treatment at the 37 military hospital.

The reason for the accident has not been stated but eye-witnesses said bad weather could be a contributing factor.

New Lagos: Smoke In Public & Get 3-Year Jail Term – Fashola

Dear smokers who lives in Lagos, Governor Fashola has signed the No Smoking in Public Places Bill into law. It means it is now illegal to lit your cigarettes in public places e.g public toilets, museums, nurseries, any facility used for the care of children etc.

According to the law, people who smoke in public places will risk a 3-year jail term. Owners of establishments must also put a ‘No Smoking’ sign around their property or face 6 months imprisonment or N100,000 fine.

Corporate organizations that don’t place the ‘No Smoking’ sign within its premises, would be liable to N250,000 fine.

The best part is, anyone who smokes in the presence of a child shall be liable on conviction to a fine of N15,000 or 1 month imprisonment.

So for the guys who can’t deal without smoking, you better start adjusting…

Nick cannon owns world most expensive N350m shoes

Rapper/actor and TV host Nick Cannon officially owns the world's most expensive shoes, which he wore to host America's Got Talent grand finale yesterday in New York. The diamond encrusted slip on shoes is worth $2.2million.

The Tom Ford shoes has 14,000 full-cut round white diamonds set onto white gold, with a total carat weight of 340 carats. Jeweller Jason Arasheben, who created the shoes, told Women's Wear Daily:
       'Not very often do I get a request for the most expensive
        shoes in the world. When Nick approached me last year,
        he said he wanted to make history and be so over the top.
        How can we make the most expensive pair of shoes in the
        world and make this finale special?' he asked me.
We didn't want him looking like Frankenstein when he walked, we still needed to consider functionality.'He's not going to win a race or play basketball with these. It's still a piece of jewelry. As long as he's not too overly aggressive in the shoes, everything should be all right.'see more photos below....
